The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has described the developmental interventions of the Member representing Ikorodu Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), as a demonstration of purposeful and people-centred representation.
Aroyewun who emphasised his administration’s readiness for collaboration, also urged stakeholders to initiate projects that would improve the lives of residents across the constituency.
Chairman Aroyewun made the remarks while receiving a delegation from the AMA Smile Foundation and the AMA Unity Cup Local Organising Committee (LOC) at the Conference Room of the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Secretariat.
The Chairman noted that while the forthcoming AMA Unity Cup reflects the lawmaker’s commitment to youth engagement through sports, his impact extends far beyond sporting initiatives to strategic investments in infrastructure, economic empowerment, and community development.
He cited the Ultra-Modern Fish Processing and Preservation Centre in Ijede, the ongoing construction of drainage infrastructure across communities including Igbopa, Palm Avenue, and Abule Eko/Powerline, as well as the continued rehabilitation of the Igbogbo/Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Igbe Laara Road, as practical examples of projects that are improving livelihoods and addressing critical infrastructure needs within Ikorodu Constituency II.
The Council boss also highlighted Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun’s social intervention programmes, including the distribution of Point-of-Sale (POS) machines and financial support to unemployed constituents, alongside the installation of electricity transformers in several communities.
He described the initiatives as thoughtful investments that demonstrate a genuine commitment to grassroots development and economic empowerment.
According to the IBLCDA Chairman, “The breadth of these interventions reflects a legislator who understands the developmental priorities of his constituents and has consistently translated that understanding into tangible projects with lasting impact.”
He further called on stakeholders, community leaders, corporate organisations, and well-meaning individuals to continue supporting initiatives that promote sustainable development, noting that the progress of Igbogbo/Baiyeku and the wider Ikorodu Constituency II requires collective commitment and shared responsibility.
Chairman Aroyewun reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to collaborate with individuals and institutions whose programmes align with the council’s vision of improving the quality of life of residents through strategic investments in infrastructure, youth development, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
